THE OPPORTUNITY:As the Office Administrator, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the office. You will work in partnership with the Office Managing Partners and national departments to deliver superior support services and business results. You will be a member of the Office Administrators’ team and report directly to the Principal Administrator.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

On any given day, you will be working with firm leadership, Partners, local office personnel and business colleagues on a variety of requests and projects. You will:

• Work in partnership with the Office Managing Partners to manage, oversee and support day-to-day operations of the office

• Function as a highly visible member of the office management team, reinforcing office culture and “stickiness” by your presence

• Create and manage to the annual budget as well as drive financial results for the office, leveraging business skills and command of key financial metrics in support of OMPs

• Collaborate with human resources, payroll and benefits to provide local support in recruiting, onboarding and performance management

• Provide performance management including coaching, mentoring and assisting with professional development of local department managers and support staff

• Supervise and manage office support teams, including secretarial, paralegal, reception, office services, and coordinate with national managers in areas such as technology support and information governance

• Oversee facilities management, including space planning and design, purchasing and inventory control

• Plan social events and coordinate with the marketing team on local client events

• Demonstrate active participation in team assignments, law firm networking, and self-development opportunities

• Occasionally travel, including to other offices of the firm

YOU HAVE:

• An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or other related discipline strongly preferred

• A minimum of 7 years previous leadership experience in a legal or other professional services organization required

• Strong finance, human resources and project management background preferred

• Advanced Microsoft Office suite and related technologies with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point

• Excellent management/leadership skills, solid business acumen, strong oral and written communication skills
