Litigation Legal Assistant – NJ
Qualifications:
- 35+ years of litigation legal assistant experience.
- Extensive experience with New Jersey state court filings.
- Experience with New York, Pennsylvania, and Federal Court e-filing is a plus.
- Experience supporting medical malpractice defense litigation preferred.
- Trial preparation experience.
- Working knowledge of the iManage document management system.
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, proofread, revise, and file legal documents.
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation.
- Manage court calendars and monitor litigation deadlines.
- Schedule travel, meetings, appointments, and maintain attorney calendars.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
- Submit new matter intake and conflict check requests.
- Enter attorney time and assist with client billing.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and assist other legal assistants as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey court rules and filing procedures.
- Familiarity with New York, Pennsylvania, and Federal Court filing requirements.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting critical deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality
