Legal Administrative Assistants report to the Director of Executive and Administrative Assistants and work closely together to support the initiatives of the Firm, including, but not limited to:

  • Managing correspondence between colleagues, vendors, and clients
  • Answering and directing calls
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Preparing documents
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Preparing invoices and reviewing backup
  • Submitting expense reports and reconciling backup
  • Supporting timekeeping entries for attorneys
  • Organizing meetings, including managing food orders and coordinating IT support, as needed
  • Supporting event planning and small group dinner coordination

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of administrative experience
  • Law Firm experience a plus
  • Ability to build strong rapport and trust with partners, associates, and administrators
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work as part of a team
  • Self-starter eager for responsibility
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Focused attention to detail
  • A nimble approach to a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to act with discretion and composure
  • Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating and business needs
  • Strong knowledge of standard computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn and support new software and operating systems
  • Experience working in billing systems preferable

This is currently a hybrid position with an expectation of a minimum of three days a week in office, with the needs of the Firm informing overall office attendance expectations.
