Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assist with managing and maintaining the trademark docketing system.
· Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, Statements of Use, Extensions of Time, Oppositions, Cancellations, Renewals, Section 8 and 15 affidavits, assignments, Office Action responses, and related documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
· Correspond with foreign counsel regarding local trademark matters.
· Collaborate with attorneys, the USPTO, foreign associates, and staff on domestic and international trademark matters.
· Review USPTO records and correspondence to extract, update, and maintain relevant trademark information.
· Generate docket reports and monitor deadlines across trademark matters and patent matters.
· Maintain accurate trademark and copyright records, electronic files, and related matter documentation.
· Prepare, process, and track incoming and outgoing trademark-related correspondence.
· Prepare trademark reporting communications for clients.
· Assist with IP due diligence for corporate transactions.
· Conduct trademark clearance searches using online resources and USPTO databases.
· Assist with preparing client billing for trademark matters.
· Prepare and file copyright applications and related responses, maintain copyright files, and communicate with the Copyright Office as needed.
· Assist with the registration and bonding of sweepstakes and contests.
· Support department attorneys with additional matters as needed.
· Prepare and file patent applications and related documents including declarations, assigned and ADS.

Abilities and Skills Needed:
Ideal candidates will have paralegal experience managing domestic and international trademark portfolios under the supervision of a trademark attorney in a law firm or in-house setting.
Bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of five years of experience in trademark prosecution, docketing, and portfolio administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CPI.
Knowledge of USPTO trademark and patent procedures, including online searching, filings, and record maintenance.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive detail.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with attorneys, paralegals, and staff while working independently.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
In office presence required.
Willingness to support other practice groups and staff as needed.
Professional, cooperative, and service-oriented attitude.
Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.
