SUMMARY: The Marketing and Business Development Specialist will develop, manage, execute, and support marketing and business development initiatives and events as they relate to the firm’s Texas, Florida, and Georgia offices. Dallas is preferred, but this position can be based in any Texas office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead local office Marketing/BD professional responsible for developing, managing, executing, and supporting office-level MBD initiatives for our Texas (Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston), Florida (Miami, Boca Raton), and Georgia (Atlanta) offices. This role is a critical part of a large, well-established, and supportive MBD organization and is complementary to teams aimed at industry, practice, and key client support.
- The ideal candidate should be an outgoing, polished, and detail-oriented professional who is exceptionally organized and highly responsive. They must possess strong project development and management skills, along with a creative, solutions-focused approach, preferably developed within a large law firm or a professional services environment.
- Activities and events created and managed by this position are highly visible and viewed as critical to local and firmwide success, branding, visibility, and revenue enhancement
- The position is both strategic and executional (a “planner/thinker as well as a doer”).
- Coordination with firmwide marketing strategy is essential to ensure continuity and impact. This position is expected to interface daily with lawyers and other professionals throughout the firm.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong relationship-development, communication, and proactive client service skills and attitude are essential.
- Strong event planning/management experience along with strong project management, organization and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and levels of urgency.
- Budget/finance skills and experience with Excel are necessary.
- High level of tech comfort, familiarity and adaptability with both traditional and new tools and resources.
- Must be outgoing, comfortable demonstrating initiative, and able to think critically and creatively.
- High sense of responsibility, accountability, and focus on responsiveness.
- 5+ years’ of professional services experience required. Large law firm experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish would be great.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Occasional travel required.
- A sense of humor and humility would be nice.
