Position Summary
The IT Trainer (with AI and onboarding experience) is responsible for training, orienting, and supporting attorneys and staff to ensure they can effectively use the firm’s technology tools. This role is focused on delivering structured learning programs, supporting new hire onboarding, and assisting with firm-wide technology initiatives. The Specialist ensures every professional has the foundational skills to succeed while also contributing to adoption of new tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging new hire orientation and follow-up training sessions.
- Conduct training on core applications, including Microsoft 365, iManage, time entry, intranet, and collaboration tools.
- Assist with adoption of AI-driven tools by supporting training initiatives and user questions.
- Create learning materials such as quick reference guides, recorded tutorials, and newsletters.
- Provide individual coaching and small-group training as needed.
- Collaborate with the Senior Specialist on initiatives to adopt firm-wide technologies.
- Track attendance, feedback, and progress for training sessions.
- Contribute to awareness campaigns for technology updates and upgrades.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in IT training or professional development and a bachelor’s degree in education, information Technology, or related field preferred; or the equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Law firm experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Demonstrates the ability to deliver effective training in multiple formats (live, recorded, and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patience and clarity in instruction.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing technology and user needs.
