Our client, a mid-size law firm located in the greater Madison New Jersey area, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager ready for the next step!   

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and run all forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, profitability analysis, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, billing and collections, cash flow control, banking relationships, tax planning, trust accounting, payroll, pension plans and other financial management functions.
  • Coordinating the quarterly financial statement review and annual tax return
  • Work with our external accounting firm partner on internal controls and shareholder compensation analysis.
  • Direct interaction with attorneys.
  • A high level of attention to detail is required, as well as strong management and interpersonal skills with a customer service oriented approach.

Education: 

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA is desirable as is 7+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership, preferably in a Law Firm or professional services firm.

Software

Proficiency in MS Excel and Word along with in-depth knowledge of accounting software is essential.
