Collections Coordinator – Finance Philadelphia PA

We are seeking a Collections Coordinator to manage our delinquent accounts. The ideal candidate will be assisting with accounts receivables, billing and collections duties including, but not limited to; collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Contacts clients directly to collect payments for bills that are past due.
• Works closely with all billing attorneys to keep them in the loop on all potential collection problems.
• Monitors all clients’ credit activities via Aderant. Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections/outstanding balances.
• Keeps management informed of all critical delinquencies to alleviate our credit exposure.
• Sends 30-day potential closure e-mails for all clients with a 60+ accounts receivable balance of $20,000 or more.
• Audits delinquent clients considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before elevating to legal counsel for review.
• Performs other related tasks as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to define problems, analyze and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills necessary to prioritize and successfully accomplish numerous tasks and projects and complete them under strict time constraints.
• Good math aptitude; detail oriented; ability to work accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and interact with a diverse group of contacts and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
• Some travel required, on an as needed basis.
• Ability to effectively operate a personal computer with multiple applications, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, ARCS and Aderant.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Related Bachelors’ degree or equivalent knowledge.
• One to two years’ related experience.
