Position Summary:
The Information Governance (IG) Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Firm’s Information Governance initiatives and ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal/regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in managing the lifecycle of both physical and electronic records in alignment with the Firm’s strategic goals and retention schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for attorneys and support staff
  • Coordinate client file transfers—physical and electronic—in accordance with established Firm procedures
  • Support ongoing offsite file destruction initiatives, ensuring adherence to retention policies
  • Conduct reviews of client matter files in preparation for scheduled deletion and destruction
  • Assist with large-scale document scanning projects as matters close
  • Support compliance-related functions such as managing information barriers, legal holds, and preservation orders
  • Conduct routine audits and inventories of physical records
  • Retrieve and track offsite record storage boxes as needed
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in iManage Records Manager
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
  • Collaborate with IT, General Counsel, and other departments to ensure proper classification and secure handling of information

  • Positive, team-oriented mindset and a problem-solving approach
  • Flexibility to respond to occasional after-hours requests

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in records management or a related field
Knowledge of records retention principles, procedures, and industry best practices
Experience with iManage Records Manager and iManage Work strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Hybrid 4 days a week in office.
