The Commercial Relationship Officer independently identifies and develops new commercial client relationships, generally targeting commercial entities with annual revenues ranging between $5 million and $25 million. In this role the Commercial Relationship Officer is expected to focus on understanding client needs, providing valued-added guidance, and ensuring client satisfaction. The Commercial Relationship Officer brings to bear the bank’s full suite of treasury management and payment processing services to support the financial needs of commercial clients of all sizes and complexity. Where appropriate, the Relationship Officer will support the borrowing needs of their clients via partnerships with the Bank’s C&I, CRE and residential lending teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proactively develop and maintain a portfolio of commercial clients, maximizing relationship breadth and depth
• Provide end-to-end comprehensive guidance and banking solutions to clients by uncovering their business priorities and matching them with financial solutions to meet their objectives
• Conduct detailed financial analysis of prospective client accounts and develop proposals within defined Bank procedures
• Develop & maintain a network of business contacts, COIs, community leaders and other referral sources to develop new business relationships and generate revenue. Effectively manage and grow the pipeline consistent with production expectations
• Effectively identify & cross sell value added treasury management solutions
• Monitor market and competitor activities and strategies to maximize business development opportunities
• In the performance of respective duties, maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policies
• Achieve outstanding performance by providing superior relationship banking and the “white glove” client experience
• Complete any additional duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of five years related business development experience
• Proven success in consultative outside sales in financial services or business-to-business sales environment
• Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage technology, including social media, to develop business
• Is passionate about outside sales and enjoys spending time prospecting
• Self-motivated to enhance existing relationships and exceed sales objectives
• Ability to analyze financial conditions and needs of clients and industry trends
• Understanding of financial statements and cash flow analysis
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability, along with strong listening and client experience skills
• Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to client issues
• Desire to build strong relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
