We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to support the Finance Department. The successful candidate will contribute to a diverse range of functions—with significant room to take initiative and play an impactful role in continuing to build our successful and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitor monthly spend.
  • Assist with schedule preparation for year-end reviews and audits.
  • Create standard, and non-standard recurring and required month-end journal entries for review and approval by the CFO.
  • Advise operations team on coding for the General Ledger (GL).
  • Perform a monthly review of GL transactions to ensure accurate entry.
  • Provide redundancy for Accounts Payable.
  • Responsible for confirming employee and client information in Aderant.
  • Responsible for confirming benefit and headquarter state information in Aderant for tax purposes.
  • Assist with credit card administration and processing expense reimbursements and monthly credit card charges, including the distribution of individual statements to the cardholders for review, coding, and approval.
  • Collaborate with finance team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks.
  • Produce ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Additional finance related responsibilities to be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have a combination of employment, educational, and life experience that demonstrates the qualities and skills below:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 7+ years prior general accounting experience required. CPA required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Advanced computer skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Aderant a plus.
