  • 10+ years of experience in civil litigation and Toxic Tort in state and federal courts
  • Familiarity with the Philadelphia asbestos bar
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage a large caseload, associate attorneys, and staff
  • Commitment to mentorship and training within the legal team
  • Exceptional research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Dedication to delivering outstanding client service and contributing to client development

Job Description:

Our Client, located in Philadelphia, is currently seeking a highly experienced Director Attorney to join its team. This position will primarily focus on the Toxic Tort Practice Group and General Liability Practice Group. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional management, research, writing, negotiation, and litigation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive case management in both state and federal courts, from initiation to resolution
  • Drafting pleadings, written discovery, motions, and conducting legal research
  • Regular client communications and status reporting
  • Legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy development
  • Identification and resolution of complex liability issues
  • Monitoring legal developments and assessing their impact on claims
  • Coordination and collaboration with expert witnesses
  • Attendance at depositions, court hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Communication and negotiation with outside counsel, mediators, and the Court
  • Management of attorneys across multiple local jurisdictions
  • Ongoing communication with National and Regional Coordinating Counsel
  • Preparation for and attendance at trials
