Delaware law firm seeks a Collections Specialist to work closely with Finance leadership. This role will organize and execute firm collections efforts as an integral part of the firms Accounts Receivable team. This position will actively seek collections from clients with aged accounts receivable balances. It will also be required to post cash receipts accurately, which frequently involves detailed research. Excellent communication and provision of a high level of professional service to management, attorneys, other staff, and firm clients amid a fast-paced, deadline driven environment are required for success.

This position is full-time and will be primarily on-site.

Hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm. After training the position will be hybrid.

Qualifications & Requirements:

-Minimum 3-5 years of collections experience, preferably in a professional services environment (i.e. law firm, banking).

-Responsible for firm collection efforts, including outreach to attorneys to inform them of aged AR balances, and emailing and calling clients, as needed, to

follow-up on receivables.

-Must comprehend and be able to communicate regarding all facets of the accounts receivable function, including cash receipts, cash posting, cash

reconciliation, credit memos, overpayments, and collections outreach efforts.

-Must be organized and retain important documentation, including collection notes.

-Strong technology and office skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook, and ability to create, edit, and present complex data, analyses,

and ad hoc reports.

-Ability to assist in new system implementations and process improvement initiatives.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with an aptitude for working with numbers and being a team player.

-Effectively and credibly communicate with Finance team leadership, attorneys, secretaries, clients, and external banking personnel.

-Detail-oriented with a customer service approach and an aptitude for problem-solving.

-Anticipate work needs and organize workflow; follow through with minimal direction and follow up independently and on own initiative. Must be responsive to

questions from key stakeholders.

-Multi-task, use time efficiently, and perform professionally and proficiently under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment;

successfully prioritize and adapt to changing demands. Flexibility to adjust to varied situations and possibly work weekends or evenings as needed.

High school diploma required; college degree strongly preferred.
