Our client is looking to fill the following position.
Position Title: Electronic Billing Manager

Position Summary: The Electronic Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing the firmwide electronic billing functions. This strategic leadership role involves ensuring the eBilling team operates effectively and efficiently, conducting routine reviews of internal processes, and certifying their optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first line of escalation for eBilling issues from the team
- Oversee and maintain the e-billing system, including reviewing client billing information, auditing invoice statuses, and ensuring compliance with billing guidelines
- Act as a liaison to staff and attorneys to resolve firm-wide e-bill issues
- Be the firm expert on the e-Bill Hub dashboard
- Manage the e-billing team, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and accountability
- Propose ideas to improve team efficiency using data-driven statistics
- Integrate proactive activities into daily internal processes
- Direct the periodic maintenance of each e-Billing client’s guidelines within the firm’s e-Billing Hub solution
- Ensure timely attention to e-bill rejections, minimizing write-offs and lost revenues
- Develop procedures for timely communication of client short payments, providing visibility to partners and requesting exceptions from clients
- Develop e-billing team onboarding, including training on software platforms, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with billing and collection teams for the seamless flow of e-bill processes from matter setup to invoice payment
- Serve as a direct supervisor and mentor to direct reports
- Provide day-to-day supervision of direct reports, ensuring compliance with assigned work hours and department policies
- Manage staffing coverage, review and process time logs/time-off requests
- Support professional development and continued educational opportunities
- Participate in hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, termination, and other employee lifecycle events in collaboration with immediate supervisor and CN HR
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
- Ability to travel, as required
- 5+ years demonstrated experience with eBilling, working with eBilling vendors and insurance carriers
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- E-Bill Hub and 3E Knowledge
- Prior law firm experience
- Supervisory experience
