Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly experienced Construction Litigation Attorney with a focus on complex construction claims, including payment disputes, construction delays, and design issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in construction law and a strong track record of litigating complex construction cases. Additionally, experience in negotiating and drafting construction contracts and advising clients on transactional and business matters is a valuable asset. Exceptional writing and research skills are essential for drafting legal documents, and strong oral communication skills are a must for client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Construction Claims Litigation: Handle complex construction claims related to payment disputes, construction delays, and design issues.

  2. Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Negotiate and draft construction contracts and provide counsel on transactional and business-related issues in the construction industry.

  3. Legal Document Drafting: Prepare legal documents, including complaints, answers, discovery requests, responses, motions, and briefs.

  4. Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support cases and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.

  5. Client Interaction: Interact directly with clients, providing legal advice, updates, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction law, with a strong emphasis on litigating complex construction claims.

  • Dual state bar admissions: Must be licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey and New York.

  • Strong writing and research skills are essential for drafting legal documents and conducting research.

  • Excellent oral communication skills for client interactions and court appearances.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a legal team and collaborate with colleagues.
