About Us: Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice. We are currently seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Associate to join our team in South Florida, with options to work in either Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
Job Description: We are looking for qualified candidates with experience in litigating first-party property damage insurance claims. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to manage and prioritize caseloads while handling complex legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Conduct depositions and examinations under oath
- Render opinions on liability, damages, and case valuation
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Maintain a commitment to providing high-quality client service
- Identify and resolve problems promptly
- Ensure timely work completion and meet deadlines
- Pay attention to detail
- Experience with general commercial litigation is a plus
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, depositions, and re-inspections
