WWe are looking for an Events Specialist in our DC office to plan on-site and off-site business development events and other firm-sponsored programs, including sponsorships, conferences, tradeshows, retreats, webinars, seminars, private dinners, and other similar events.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for…
• Coordinating logistics for all assigned events, including conferences, trade shows, retreats, webinars, receptions, dinners, and other programs locally and nationally as needed
• Coordinating tradeshow logistics and assist with fulfillment needs
• Coordinating participation for events, including venue selection, catering requirements, audiovisual, and related activities from development to execution
• Coordinating production of event invitations and other marketing collateral as needed
• Tracking and generating various reports on marketing activity
• Maintain project timelines, status reports, and budget for all assigned events
• Creating post event reports to highlight KPI’s and other relevant forms of data for each assigned event
• Coordinating multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives
• Working with Senior Manager of Events, negotiate contracts with various suppliers and vendors
• Assisting with tracking all events on the firms’ marketing events calendar tool and assist with year-end reporting
Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate…
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or experience equivalent
• A minimum of three years of events experience in a corporate environment, preferably a law firm; including experience supporting trade shows and large conferences
• Ability to travel to various local and national marketing/firm events/meetings up to 30% of the time
• Ability to work overtime as needed to support events.
• Strong organizational, project and time management skills.
• Proficiency with CRM databases, event management and mass email distribution software, Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with webinar technology (Vuture, InterAction, Zoom Webinar, and Hive a plus)
• Experience estimating event and other related costs and processing invoices.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds of materials and be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
