We are currently collaborating with a dynamic mid-size law firm based in Center City Philadelphia in their search for an experienced Attorney to join their Estates & Trusts practice group. This is a full-time position located at the firm’s downtown Philadelphia office.
Responsibilities:
- Estate and Trust Administration: Handle all aspects of estate and trust administration, including estate planning, estate administration, and trust administration. Provide guidance on wills and trusts, estate and gift taxation, income tax matters for trusts and estates, and related legal issues.
- Business Matters: Assist clients with business matters, particularly in the context of estate planning. Knowledge of partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, and planning for families will be beneficial.
- Charitable Planning: Experience in charitable planning is a plus and will be highly regarded.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in estate and trust administration. A solid understanding of estate planning, estate administration, and trust administration is essential.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of wills and trusts, estate and gift taxation, and income tax matters for trusts and estates. Familiarity with business matters, partnerships, LLCs, and S corporations is advantageous.
- Competencies: Excellent drafting skills and the ability to convey complex legal issues clearly, both verbally and in writing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. Proficiency in information gathering, tracking, and monitoring. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous projects effectively. Building rapport and communicating effectively with attorneys, clients, professional staff, and peers is crucial.
