We have an immediate need for a well-organized individual to join our team as a Corporate Accounting Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual looking to work across different functions within a listed REIT while getting exposure to strategic tasks.
Title: Corporate Accounting Manager Reports to: Director of Financial Reporting/Corporate Accounting Responsibilities • Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements including GAAP and non-GAAP metrics • Preparation of other monthly financial statement analytics • Preparation of consolidated cash flow statement • Preparation of monthly G&A analysis, including budget to actual analysis and other detailed analysis • Responsible for assisting in the preparation of 10-Q, 10-K and other SEC filings including financial statements, footnote disclosures and MD&A to ensure timely and accurate filings • Assessment of new SEC/GAAP pronouncements, preparing position papers, recommending and then assisting team in implementing process changes as needed • Research and documentation of technical accounting and related disclosure requirements • Assistance with quarterly and annual Earnings Release, Investor Decks and other outside communications as appropriate. • Perform technical accounting analyses and resolution of complex accounting transactions related to potential new acquisitions, investments, non-controlling interests, derivatives, and hedging, among others. • Support month-end closings, including the preparation of complex accounting entries and reconciliations
Desired Skills And Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in a public accounting firm working on SEC clients • Experience in REITs preferred • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field • CPA required • Experience preparing footnote disclosures and accounting memos • Strong technical accounting skills • Must have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented • Must be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word • Experience with an SEC filing tool is a plus (Workiva or similar tool)
