One of the world’s leading and largest intellectual property law firms, is seeking a Billing Assistant. The individual will assist the billing and ebilling teams with ensuring the quality of final bills are in accordance with firm standards and supplying the correct cost backup. The Billing Assistant will support the billing team with timecard edits, transfers and the close matter process.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews and verifies accuracy of client invoices and supporting documentation

• Assist the billing team with bill edits to include narrative edits, timecard transfer and cost research

• Assist the e-billing team with research regarding invoice submissions and rejections

• Assist the billing team with missing time reporting

• Reviews and verifies accuracy of client invoices and supporting documentation

• Demonstrates the ability to provide an effective level of assistance with processing and entering data

• Maintain the close matter process for the billing team

• Maintain the e-discovery cost load process

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a business-related field of study.

• A minimum of 2 years law firm billing experience required.

• Familiarity with various e-billing software vendors, such as Serengeti, Collaborati, Passport, BillingPoint, CounselLink and Bill Blast is a plus

• Associate degree or 1-2 years of related office experience with 10 key knowledge required

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)

• A minimum of 2 years Elite (Enterprise or 3E) or Aderant accounting software is a plus

• Familiarity with various e-billing software vendors, such as Serengeti, Collaborati, Passport, Bill Blast and e-Billing Hub a plus
