Position Summary: The Application Services Manager leads a team of five while managing, directing and supporting deployment, maintenance and providing other services related to commercial off the shelf (COTS) applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Schedule and oversee projects assigned to application services members
• Direct, oversee and assist with the selection, implementation and installation of applications used by the organization
• Provide guidance, recommendations and consultation on applications and related services to other departments, which may include reviewing system documentation, feasibility, design, testing and implementation
• Coordinate the resources needed to meet client and/or business objectives related to software applications
• Assess hardware/software systems, applications and processes with the larger IT and firm strategy in mind
• Work with stake holders and a Project Manager as required to determine timelines, resources and dependencies
• Monitor project progress and take action as required to ensure that timeframes are met
• Work closely with other firm personnel regarding shareholder moves, litigation holds etc.
• Develop and authenticate IT business continuity plans relevant to applications owned by the Applications team
• Develop and adhere to departmental budget
• Ensure compliance with applicable company, state and federal laws, statutes and regulations, as appropriate
• Conduct performance evaluations that are timely, objective and constructive
• Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Work within a hybrid model

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years experience directly supporting or managing law firm and corporate based applications and a broad spectrum of projects in a multiple-location environment, including maintaining updates and security patches
• Experience serving a law firm or professional services office
• iManage experience is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Must be able to understand the speech of another person and comprehend detailed information
• Must be able to speak accurately, clearly and quickly so listens can understand

• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned; and perform activities including but not limited to viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading and preparing reports
