Word Processor (Legal) – Remote (California)

We’re looking for an experienced Word Processor to support both Transactional and Litigation practices in a fast-paced, collaborative law firm environment. This role focuses on editing and formatting complex legal documents, managing workflows, and providing high-level document support to attorneys.

Location: Remote (must reside and work in California)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and revise complex legal documents (transactional, corporate, pleadings, court forms) in line with firm standards
  • Perform advanced formatting, styling, and document cleanup in Microsoft Word
  • Handle heavy revisions (track changes, TOC/TOA, headers/footers, indexes)
  • Convert PDFs to Word and other formats
  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations and spreadsheets
  • Transcribe digital dictation accurately
  • Manage files in NetDocuments
  • Troubleshoot document issues for internal users
  • Prioritize multiple assignments in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Monitor workflow via Outlook and BigHand Hub
  • Prepare documents for signature via DocuSign
  • Edit exhibit images as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of law firm word processing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Office Suite skills
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, NetDocuments (or similar DMS)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Typing speed of 70+ WPM
  • Familiarity with Visio, Photoshop, Litera Best Authority, AIA, AIR CRE, and DocuSign is a plus

Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred
