Our client is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Specialist to support the Firm’s strategic objectives by overseeing marketing operations, business development support, digital initiatives, events, communications, and brand management. The role partners closely with attorneys, practice groups, and Firm leadership to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with client needs, market trends, and Firm priorities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
- Manages day-to-day marketing operations and project timelines
- Prepares regular marketing reports for Firm leadership and committees
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of firm-wide marketing and business development strategies
- Coordinate the production and distribution of legal updates, client alerts, newsletters, and firm communications
- Partner with attorneys to support client development initiatives, pitches, presentations, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Plan and execute Firm-hosted and client-facing events, including seminars, sponsorships, and networking initiatives
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website content, social media, email marketing, and analytics
- Draft and edit marketing content, including website copy, attorney biographies, announcements, and thought leadership materials
- Manage awards submissions, rankings, and directory listings
- Coordinate sponsorships and advertising opportunities aligned with Firm goals
- Produce regular marketing performance reports and analytics to measure effectiveness and ROI
- Maintain marketing databases, experience management tools, contact lists, and tracking systems
- Manage marketing budgets, expenses, and vendor relationships
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend monitoring
- Support cross-departmental initiatives, including recruiting, CLE programs, and internal communications
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and platforms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- Demonstrated experience supporting attorneys or professional service providers
- Strong understanding of legal or professional services marketing best practices
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and website content management systems
- Proficiency with tools such as Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Canva, WordPress, and Google Analytics
- High level experience with Canva
