JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Systems Coordinator is responsible for the overall maintenance and set-up of parameters in the firm’s financial systems. Ensures their accuracy and integrity. Serves as primary contact and interface for troubleshooting issues with systems, initiates requests for support. Assists with various projects and initiatives related to accounting data and systems. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Operations.

Serves as primary contact and interface for troubleshooting issues with systems, initiates requests for support. Assists with various projects and initiatives related to accounting data and systems. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Operations.
JOB CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains Financial Systems Master Files such as timekeepers, entities, vendors, and updates them for accuracy.
- Coordinates the intake of new clients and matters, both billable and non-billable.
- Initiates support requests with third party Financial Systems providers, assists with troubleshooting issues, and collaborates with the IT team when necessary.
- Performs data entry and validation by accurately entering data into the system and validating the information for completeness and accuracy.
- Assists with responding to inquiries and fielding requests for information related to matter status while maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborates with the accounting and finance team on 3E month-end closing procedures.
- Assist with drafting and maintaining up to date instructions and documentation on financial systems utilization, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborates closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure alignment between processes and system functionalities.
- Troubleshoots and identifies issues or discrepancies in balancing data, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve problems promptly.
- Supports special projects or initiatives related to financial systems implementation, upgrades, or optimizations.
- Implements and maintains security measures within financial systems to safeguard sensitive financial information. Sets up users and access to Financial Systems.
- Assists with the preparation of spreadsheets to reconcile and consolidate accounting data.
- Serves as a resource to various accounting projects in collaboration with team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned by accounting and firm management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience, and a minimum of two years of related experience.
- Prior law firm industry experience required.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Understanding of broad accounting principles and procedures, as well as the basic application and usage of accounting concepts, theories, and terminology
- Related experience performing accounting analysis utilizing advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- High level of business acumen and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to assess pertinent information and anticipate needs and outcomes.
- Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product and prioritize and manage time effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The position will operate on a hybrid schedule in a professional office environment and is expected to work in office three (3) days a week.
- Position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
- Position requires that the employee be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This position is primarily a sedentary position. However, some duties and responsibilities may require the employee to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, occasionally move about to access office equipment, file cabinets, etc.
- May require employee to carry or lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
