Marketing and Business Development Manager- Corporate Finance & Securities

This position supports the business development and marketing efforts of assigned practice groups. The Marketing & Business Development Manager works closely with our Corporate Finance & Securities Practice Group Leaders and partners to execute the group’s business development and marketing goals.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned practice groups, providing support and guidance on business development and marketing needs.
- Partner with PGLs and partners to plan and carry out business development and marketing initiatives for the group.
- Identify prospective clients and new opportunities; support targeting efforts by tracking outreach, pursuits, and follow ups.
- Work with partners and BD colleagues to identify and support cross selling efforts across practices and offices.
- Draft, write, and customize pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and presentations, as well as manage process, timelines, and coordination.
- Maintain and update practice materials, experience lists, matter descriptions, client facing collateral, and other BD content.
- Prepare award, directory, and league table submissions, collaborating with partners.
- Work with Communications team on press releases, media placements, thought leadership opportunities, and related activities.
- Assess and coordinate sponsorships, memberships, speaking engagements, and conference participation to enhance visibility.
- Support planning and execution of practice related events including webinars, client programs, and receptions, and track outcomes.
- Assist with onboarding and business development support for lateral partners.
- Collaborate with colleagues across BD, Communications, Marketing Technology & Intelligence, and other business services functions to ensure cohesive support.
- May supervise a Business Development Coordinator, depending on group needs.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft and edit persuasive, polished client facing content.
- Strong presence, poise, and confidence when working with partners and senior professionals; able to offer recommendations and move projects forward.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant business development or marketing experience in legal marketing, Capital Markets or Transactional practice space preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and committed to producing accurate, high quality work.
