The Lead Accountant reports to the Finance Manager. Hybrid work environment: 3 days in office, 2 days remote following successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Lead month-end and year-end closing, including financial reporting
- Oversight of general accounting and finance functions
- Update, prepare and circulate Daily Cash Report
- Additional ad-hoc accounting project, duties and reporting
- Assist the team with court submissions
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with implementation of and improvement of accounting systems, processes and internal controls
- Analyze financial data, identify trends or variances, and provide insights to management

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced Degree a plus
- 10+ years’ experience in accounting or finance function
- Prior experience in a lead or senior accounting role
- Professional services experience required, law firm accounting experience ideal
- Proven track record of data entry proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Accounting systems including ProLaw, Elite, 3E a plus
- Familiarity with Expense Reimbursement systems, including Concur
