JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Technology Operations Lead will oversee Gray Reed’s marketing technology platforms, integrations, and workflow performance. This leader will drive the strategic vision for the firm’s marketing and business development technology ecosystem, providing process and strategy guidance to enhance client and revenue-centric initiatives through technology enablement. The role supports all Gray Reed offices and collaborates closely with Marketing, Events, Business Development, and Practice Group Management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 7–10 years in marketing, sales, business development, or related field.
• Expert-level experience with CRM systems, digital marketing software, and graphic design applications.
• Direct experience with brand strategy, client lifecycle management, digital campaign management, marketing analytics, and SEO.
• Proven data-driven leadership and data management/visualization skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CRM & Data Management
• Serve as primary data steward for Gray Reed’s CRM and related systems.
• Oversee integration of CRM with other software platforms in collaboration with IT and the CMO.
• Manage firmwide data quality and visualization programs.
• Establish strategic analytics and reporting capabilities.

Digital Marketing Support
• Support to evolution of the firm’s brand strategy and assets (website, content messaging, social media, SEO, etc.)
• Support email marketing initiatives, including technical setup and optimization
• Upgrade and manage Vuture templates as needed
• Assist Marketing Assistant with campaigns, sponsorships, and related activities

Event Technology Support
• Configure technologies and systems to support firm event profiles.
• Oversee Mail List Manager for targeted event and campaign mailing lists.
• Architect scalable invitation distribution processes in collaboration with Marketing, Events, PGM, and Business Development.
• Enable real-time RSVP reporting and oversee post-event tasks (attendance, follow-up, reporting).

Technical Support & Training
• Serve as primary contact for marketing technology questions and issues.
• Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution for user problems.
• Design and maintain training materials (guides, tutorials, documentation).
• Deliver training sessions for attorneys and staff.
• Escalate complex issues to IT as needed.
• Track support requests to identify common issues and training needs

Technology Strategy & Vendor Management
• Oversee the marketing technology ecosystem for performance and reliability.
• Manage relationships with marketing technology vendors.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
• Identify and document technical best practices for all users.
• Proactively seek opportunities for improved performance based on data analysis and industry trends.
• Collaborate with IT to implement system hygiene processes and monitoring tools.

Team Management
• Manage the Marketing & Data Assistant within the Marketing & Client Development function.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Align individual priorities and workload with firm objectives.

DIRECT REPORTS AND RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer
• Works closely with IT Department, Practice Group Management, Marketing, Events and Business Development
• Manages the Marketing & Data Assistant position

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
