The UCC Paralegal will support the Firm’s Corporate Department by assisting attorneys and clients in all aspects of Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) matters. The responsibilities of the position will include, but not be limited to:
- Conduct due diligence UCC/lien searches, review lien search results and prepare lien summary charts.
- Review underlying agreements and draft UCC Financing Statements in accordance with jurisdictional requirements as well as recommended practices of the Firm.
- Coordinate with attorneys and vendors to continually monitor UCC financing statement status throughout the filing process.
- Coordinate and review UCC Post Filing Searches to confirm correct indexing of UCC Financing Statements.
- Maintain the Firm’s UCC document management system in compliance with the Firm’s post-closing procedures.
This is a foundational level opportunity, with training provided in our leading UCC and Secured Transactions practice. No prior knowledge of UCC work is required. Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
- Focused attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
- Self-starter eager for responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of/ability to easily learn data management systems.
- Availability for overtime when needed.
This is currently a hybrid position with an expectation of a minimum of three days a week in office, with the needs of the Firm informing overall office attendance expectations.
